What is assisting?
An assisting job is when you assist a Key/Senior artist, who works within the areas of interests you have always wanted Fashion, Magazines, Beauty, Print, Celebrity.
It’s on the job training very much like interning. You are there to assist on sets and gigs to gain valuable experience to enrich your career.
Ever wonder what goes on when working in magazines, fashion, print, with celebrities but couldn’t get
in the room to see? Assisting a Key Artist gets you in that room, and gives you those secrets you’ve always wanted to know. It allows you to gain invaluable knowledge while you’re working.
How can I become an assistant?
Ahhhhhh now that’s the million-dollar question.
Much like a college intern where you can source jobs via their networks, when it comes to assisting in the "industry" of fashion/beauty/magazine etc., those jobs aren’t always listed. In other words, if you want to assist, you will have to go about finding those opportunities on your own.
Assisting Rules tells you how and so much more. It prepares you for the day and everything leading up to and after. It is the bible of assisting
Its time to get prepared-don't you think?
“I believe luck is preparation meeting opportunity. If you hadn't been prepared when the opportunity came along, you wouldn't have been lucky.” OPRAH WINFREY
